BBQ Duck Soup

A delicious soup you can make with a BBQ duck.

I made this soup with the carcase of a duck we had devour earlier. The spices and fats from the duck gives the soup enough flavor, so except for salt, no additional seasoning is needed. White carrots and green turnips are usually available at Asian grocery stores.

Makes about 5 servings

1 whole BBQ duck
1 medium carrot
1 medium white carrot
1 medium green turnip
1 tbsp salt

  1. Peel and wash the carrots and turnip
  2. Cut the vegetables into 1" slices and then into quarters
  3. Fill a pot with 4 litre of water
  4. Put the duck and vegetables into the pot
  5. Bring to a boil
  6. Turn the heat down to a slow simmer
  7. Simmer for 1.5 hours
  8. Add salt and serve hot
